Services
Our agency provides services, support, and encouragement to newcomers as they adjust to life in the United States. In many cases, LFS works together with a co-sponsoring congregation or community organization to provide basic services. Refugees and asylees may be eligible for the following services at no cost:
Case Management
- Social Services Enrollment
- Health/Mental Health Services
- Housing Referrals
- Household Items and Clothing
Employment Services
- Job Placement
- Job Coaching
- Cash Assistance
- English Language Training
- Pre-Employment Training
Community programs include:
- Financial literacy courses
- Job clubs for adults and youth
- Specialized youth and senior programs, including sports programs, after-school mentoring programs, and cultural orientation
- Parenting support classes
- Community development partnerships with local ethnic communities
