Prevention Services encompasses the Northern Colorado Parenting Education and Support program, SafeTouch, Visitation & Exchange, the KPC Respite Center, and SafeCare.

Parenting Education and Support
Since its inception in 1984, the Parenting Education program has been committed to strengthening and empowering families by offering education and support to facilitate the development of safe, nurturing family environments.
KPC Respite Center
KPC Respite Center offers temporary crisis and planned childcare for infants and young children at no cost to parents or guardians. This program has been open to families since 2004 and has provided hundreds of families with relief and support.
An elementary school-based abuse prevention program for children kindergarten through fifth grade. SafeTouch was first introduced in 1987. Last year almost 12,000 children in 31 Weld County elementary schools were served.
Visitation and Safe Exchanges
This is a supervised visitation and exchange program run out of our Greeley office. This program provides a safe and nurturing environment for families and children that allows them to maintain positive family interactions.
The SafeCare® Colorado program offers proactive, in-home, voluntary services that support at-risk families in gaining skills to provide a safe home, address child health needs, and engage in positive interactions with their children ages 0 to 5-years-old.
