Tips to consider when making donations
- Designate your gift to a specific program area by writing the name of the program on the memo line of your check.
- Help sustain the work of Lutheran Family Services for the future by designating your gift to the Endowment Fund where it will continue to grow in perpetuity.
- Get a 50% Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit by designating your gift to our Foster Care program on the memo line of your check or by writing us a note designating your donation. ( Colorado residents only.)
- Use electronic transfer for monthly donations through the Simply Giving program of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Contact the Resource Development office development@lfsco.org for a donor authorization form.
Matching Gifts:
- Occasionally special matching campaigns are offered. Please contact the development office 303-217-5848 for current opportunities.
- Members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans can multiply gifts by participating in the Thrivent Giving Plus Program. Please visit www.thrivent.com for more information.
- Sometimes companies match gifts made by their employees. We have compiled a list of companies who offer matching gifts. Check with us or with your employer to see if a match is an option.
Planned Gifts:
Wills, bequests, charitable gift annuities, life insurance policies, trusts, and other planned gifts designated to LFS leave a legacy of care for vulnerable children and families. Deferred gifts can provide management of your funds, income to supplement your retirement plans, and they can also offer tax savings.
Please contact our Development Department at 303-922-3433 or development@lfsco.org for more information.
If you choose to provide a planned gift, please notify us of your plans so we may recognize you as members of the LFS Legacy Society.
Stocks and Other Assets:
Stocks, real property, and other assets may also be gifted to LFS. Please contact our Development Department at 303-922-3433 or development@lfsco.org for more information.
